The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has said the House of Representatives lacked the constitutional powers to investigate its activities and that of its subsidiaries.
The Nation reports that the Air Force made the claim on Monday, March 16, when it told the House adhoc committee investigating the alleged use of force against Blue Boulevard that the lawmakers were not legally empowered to investigate it.

However, the adhoc committee dismissed the position of the force on the grounds that the constitution and the House standing order empowers them to investigate the Nigerian Air Force.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has said the House of Representatives lacked the constitutional powers to investigate its activities and that of its subsidiaries.
After the House made its position known on the issue, the House at plenary presided over by the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila directed that the investigation be carried out.
