Senator Victor Umeh, a chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the Anambra State governorship election has been ejected from Ihiala Local Government Area secretariat of the state as a supplementary election is taking place.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had on Sunday declared the election inconclusive.

The electoral body has also deployed its officials to Ihiala LGA for the commencement of the supplementary election which began by 10am.
Accompanied by some of his supporters and aides, Umeh, who spent the night at the INEC head office in Awka, during the collation of results of 20 Local Government Areas, was turned back by soldiers led by the General Officer
Commanding, 82 Division, of the Nigerian Army.
The GOC who said he wants things to go well told Umeh, “You are not supposed to be here,” the military officer screamed at Umeh who said he was at the LG HQ “to ensure things go well.”
“You are a state agent, not an LGA agent,” the senior military officer responded to Umeh.
The Anambra election is expected to be concluded today.
Chukwuma Soludo, APGA candidate, is leading the pack with 103,946 votes while Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) trails behind with 51,322 votes.
