Madagascar: UN’s WFP warns of a humanitarian crisis due to drought and Covid-19

There is a growing humanitarian crisis in southern Madagascar. The UN’s World Food Programme expects that three consecutive years of drought and a recession, triggered by the Coronavirus pandemic, will leave more than 1.3 million people suffering from food insecurity.
