Elon Musk says he ‘most likely’ has a moderate case of COVID-19 | Science & Tech News

Elon Musk has said he “most likely” has a moderate case of COVID-19, as he continued to question the accuracy of the tests.”Am getting wildly different results from different labs, but most likely I have a moderate case of covid. My symptoms are that of a minor cold, which is no surprise, since a coronavirus is a type of cold,” Mr Musk tweeted.
The Tesla and SpaceX boss did not mention whether the results were from polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests, which are more accurate than rapid tests.”A little up & down. Feels just like a regular cold, but more body achy & cloudy head than coughing/sneezing,” Mr Musk wrote in reply to a Twitter user asking about his symptoms.Mr Musk said on Thursday that he had taken four COVID-19 tests on the same day, two of which showed he was positive for the virus, and two that came back negative, as he stated “something extremely bogus is going on”.
He said he was tested with a rapid antigen test, which authorities have warned has a higher chance of delivering false negatives.
Mr Musk’s presence at the weekend launch of four NASA astronauts into orbit on board his SpaceX company’s spacecraft had been thrown into question due to his tests for COVID-19.NASA’s first fully-fledged human mission using a privately owned spacecraft, has slipped from Saturday to Sunday evening due to forecasts for high winds over Florida, officials for the US space agency said on Friday.
